    Mandates

    SEPA direct debit mandate

    Your customer issues a direct debit mandate digitally via a link or email — through their own bank, so legally valid and paperless. Connected to your accounting you see exactly who hasn't issued one yet.

    Have agreements and documents signed with bank identification — iDIN in the Netherlands and, since 1 September 2026, itsme in Belgium. You know for certain who signed, and the signature is provable. You pick the customer from your accounting.

    Every mandate and signed document is available for 30 days to download or to flow automatically into your accounting or your own server. They are yours, and the legal retention duty is yours.

    • Mandates: keep while valid and for 14 months after (SEPA rules)

    • With your service's accounting connection the transfer happens automatically

    Prefer to leave the documents with us? You can — encrypted, backed up, with audit trail, and you retrieve them whenever you want. You pay per started gigabyte, only for what is older than 30 days.

    REST API Mandates

    Request mandates and follow their status from your own webshop, portal or membership system.

    Start and settle iDEAL payments in your own software, including callbacks.

    REST API Signing

    Build identification and signing with iDIN or itsme into your own process — for example onboarding or contracting.

    Invitations and confirmations from your own domain, sent through us. Required for a complete audit trail: only emails that pass through PayIBAN are recorded with sent, open and delivery status.

    Why this menu

    On payibank.io, PayIBAN did one thing: issue a mandate. On app.payiban.com every service is connected to your accounting — and that changes what the service does. Mandates sees which customers have none yet and invites them. Payments sees which invoices are open and sends the link. Signing picks the customer from your accounting and files the signed document back. All of that is in the price of the service, with no surcharge per feature.

    At the same time, hosting, security and the maintenance of bank connections and certificates have become considerably more expensive. The new rates cover both: what has been added, and what it costs to run it reliably.

    What does not change: your mandates, your data and your connections stay exactly as they are.

    Don't agree? That's fine.

    Under our terms and conditions (article 3.5) you can notify us in writing within 30 days of the announcement that you do not accept the new rates. The agreement then ends on 1 January 2027, the day the rates take effect. Until then you pay the old rate.

    After that you have 30 more days — until 31 January 2027 — to download all your mandates and signed documents or transfer them to your own server. Then we delete them; the retention duty lies with you as creditor or contracting party.
